If you install/pull cable, then this is very handy to pull the wire off the spool with no kinks. Pipe for spool is 1-5/8" diameter x 9-1/4" long, but you could thread a pipe up to 18" on this holder. The holder is 3/4" wood and can accomodate up to a 16" diameter spool.
