List price of $449 new, this is a recent model Squire Affinity Series Thinline that plays very well, has that Tele twang, and is simply mint. Looking hard, I have nothing to show except the usual factory paint flaws you would never notice, I have a very light streak in the pain on the front, which it’s been on a hanger for a few months and I never noticed it. Compared to a Fender this has a few advantages. First, individual saddles. You can actually get the proper intonation on each string, you don’t have to settle for the average over two strings. (Why does Fender still do this?) Second, the jack is NOT recessed. It’s not 1951 anymore, there are right angle plugs available now, and with this one, any right-angle plug will work. (Again Fender, why?) It is also considerably lighter than a standard model. Third, the finish is the traditional Lake Placid Blue. Fender likes making “aged” versions of paints that have started turning green, as the originals often do. But why not start with it looking new? This does. This guitar is set up perfectly, professionally, so it is ready to gig tonight. The strings are even still good. No case or bag available, but have a box to take it in.
PS- Bonus 4th advantage; this will hang on a String Swing hook, a Fender won't.
Bonus accessories: Free 10 foot cable and used fuzz box.
