Original owner and packaging, lovingly owned in a professional studio environment for the last 3 years. Only reason I'm selling is because I've upgraded to the newly announced MK2s!
The MTM design minimizes vertical reflections, resulting in a very accurate listening experience. Phase-coherent, +/- 1 dB from 45 Hz to 22.5K (!), with bass extension down to 37 Hz at -4 dB.
On top of the amazing sound, the built-in ARC technology allows you to calibrate the Precision MTMs to your space. Using the brand new ARC X software:
- Connect the included ARC microphone to your audio interface
- Follow the on-screen prompts in ARC X (requires downloading from IK)
- Place the ARC microphone at each location labeled on-screen
- Speakers will run a series of test tones to analyze your space
Once complete, ARC X will store custom filters in each speaker, calibrating the Precisions to your space for the most accurate listening experience. This compensates for the anomalies and artifacts introduced by your room.
Included with this pair of active monitors:
- 2x power cables
- 2x USB cable (for firmware updates and ARC X calibration)
- 2x ARC microphone (each speaker came with a microphone)
- 2x isolation pods (for reducing vibrations and sonic transfer when placed on a desk)
This is the original version of the Precision MTMs, not the newly announced MK2. While IK recently announced the MK2 version, these MK1s deliver the same exceptional sonic accuracy and ARC room correction that made them a professional standard.
