For sale is my 2007 Buell Lightning XB12Scg, 400lbs, 1203cc, 5 speed. The "cg" model has the lowest center of gravity/seat height of all the Lightnings.

I'm selling it because I'm just not able to ride as much as I want and trying we're trying to save up for a house.

Please note this is not an ideal bike for taller riders. I'm 5ft 7in, but any one approaching 6ft may find the riding position too cramped. Also, its a harley sports bike, so it vibrates and has a pretty stiff ride. If you are coming from a BMW or similar, you may want to look elsewhere.

I bought it in January of 2023, with 23,481 miles on it from Cortese Cycle, who took it in trade from the original owner. Has 25,2xx miles currently.

Maintenance since I owned it includes - spark plugs, drive belt, front and rear tires, battery, primary cover gasket, shifter shaft oil seal, clutch cable o-ring, clutch inspection cover gasket, brake fluid flushed, fork oil changed, oil change Royal Purple 20w50 in primary and engine

Upgrades/Additions/Mods
Jardine GP1 exhaust
K and N air filter
Handguards from a Buell Ulysses
Carbon fiber everything
LED low & high beams
Headlight wiring modded so low beam stays on when high beam is activated. Normally the low beam shuts off when using the high beam
Flowing LED front turn signals
Rear fender bobbed
Combination LED running/brake light/turn signals
Brake flasher module (5 rapid flashes, 3 slow, then solid brake light)
IP67 USB charger and voltmeter
Pigtail for NOCO Genius charger
Buell Saddlebags

Pitbull Jacks are not included, but can be purchased with it for another 200 (paid 540 in 05/23)

Only open issue is it needs intake seals as they leak when the bike is cold. This isn't a 30min job like a "normal" sportster, which is easily accessible on the intake side. My fix has been simply to turn up the idle when it's cold, and turn it back down at a traffic light once it's warmed up. This is confirmed via the fact that the ECU adds fuel (AFV over 100) when cold and removes fuel when warmed up (AFV around 100), and if you spray carb cleaner around the intake ports, the RPMs go up. Still completely rideable as is.

Asking $3300
Clean title in my name, in hand.
Local, cash deal only, not interested in trades.

Please call or text me at 3 one 5 seven 1 seven 7 eight 0 zero. Please leave a message, as I don't answer numbers I don't know, and I'll get right back to you.

Thanks, Bob
