If you go to a "Guitar Store" or a "School of ___" for music lessons, you won't be playing real drums and real cymbals. Basically, they're required to not have real drums/cymbals or make noise. They use 'silent heads' and 'quiet cymbals' and You'll have a crappy experience with a grumpy underpaid and exploited 'teacher' ....
Hey there!
I'm a pro drummer who worked in NYC for many years before I moved to Rochester. I own a home in Brighton where I've set up two studios with 3 drum kits, all mic'd, with recording/video facilities. Equipped for both live and virtual lessons. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, I've got the knowledge and curriculum to help you get to where you want to be. As long as you have a desire and willingness to practice, I can turn beginners into legit drummers or I can help legit/pro drummers get to the next level.
I'm also a professional drum tech, so I offer home tuning, maintenance and even setup services. The comfortability and sound quality of your drums greatly affect your enthusiasm and willingness to practice.
