Experienced Construction Worker (Downtown Rochester)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform construction, maintenance, and repair work
Complete wood and metal stud framing for residential construction projects
Carpentry work, including framing and installation of doors and windows
Install and repair electrical and plumbing systems
Hang, float mud, tape, and sand drywall
Install all types of flooring, including carpet
Tile bathroom surrounds and kitchen backsplash
Install finishes and appliances - faucets, switches, light fixtures, etc.
Set up and breakdown of work areas
Complete supply runs to make regular puchases/pickups; load and unload materials
Follow established safety rules and regulations
Maintain a clean work area and accurate supplies inventory
Perform general clean-up and other assigned duties
Requirements and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Skilled Construction Worker or related position
Proficient in using various hand and power tools
Knowledge of construction and maintenance methods, materials, techniques and safety protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
Ability to work in all weather
Valid driver's license and reliable truck or van
Must be drug-free
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
