Wheel is in perfect condition other than the green pads that are clawed up from usage. A package of new black pads is included with the wheel (you will need to apply them).
It’s best to start a young cat on the wheel. All cats may take to it, but there’s no guarantee that a cat will use it, especially older cats. OneFastCat.com has tips for acclimating your cat to the wheel.
I learned with my 1st cat not to use treats as the incentive to go on it. My 2nd cat has used it a lot, has climbed onto it next to me while I’m on my exercise bike.
He’s older now so doesn’t really use it anymore (unless he’s doing it in the middle of the night, which I have heard him doing before!). I just don’t have the space for it anymore.
