You may have seen (or have) 10 or 20 button models, the 30 button is in a class by itself!
An extraordinarily rare find. This example is in color black.
Has color matched line cord that is 9 feet 6 inches long, perhaps a special order or factory standard I do not have that level of detail.
This is a super addition to any vintage phone collection.
It is a rare collection that has any example of this model let alone in new condition!
Has marking on bottom "80" which I believe is a date code from 1980.
Doubt they made more than one production run of this model in a year, limited demand forced it to be a rarity. This one was never put into service.
Has 2 prong headset connector with switch on the side, and has metal handset cradle (newer production was plastic).
This was ITT's answer to the Stromberg-Carlson (and Western Electric) call directors of the day.
ITT, used 3 connectors to max out this model. The Stromberg-Carlson (and Western Electric) has 5 connectors to handle the same number of lines. Smaller desktop footprint and reduced cabling made this popular in the day among the few that needed this much capability.
Could be put in service if you have a functioning key system with either real landlines or VOIP adapters or a mix or the two. If you have purchased used instruments and been disappointed here is a chance at new!
Have been asked - can this be used with more than one line and no key system - yes is the technical answer, but you will lack some features the key system provides the main one is the ability to put a call on hold. The better solution is to get a key system. If do not have a key system you can contact for availability.
