General note about remotes - a given brand and type will almost always perform basic functions for that brand of, and type of device even if not the exact model remote your item was sold with. Eg, a Sony tv remote will almost always perform basic functions for Sony tv's even if not the exact model remote that Sony tv was sold with. Example: Don't expect a a tv remote to run a blu-ray player unless it was specifically designed to do that.
