Selling my 2010 Nissan Altima -- I've been the sole owner since it was new. My daughter was driving it around for the last few years but she's headed off to college so it's time to part ways with it.
The bad:
- It's a little dinged up on the outside -- minor body damage, dents, scratches, crack in the front bumper
- The exhaust system needs work, the car is loud. It would be a great opportunity for a custom exhaust or someone with a lift who can replace it. The muffler shop in East Rochester quoted me $1200 for everything
- The AC doesn't work anymore. It holds pressure (last I checked) but doesn't engage. I think the compressor is worn out but it would need a diagnostic to figure it out for sure (~$150)
- Little electronics things (one window switch, horn) have worn out over time, those are annoying but easily fixable
- Check engine light shows a small evap leak every few months, but it's not consistent so I just keep checking it with a bluetooth reader
- It's possible to *overfill* the gas tank on hot days, I think this is related to the aftermarket gas cap that I put on it to deal with the check engine light
The good:
- This car has a lot of power and is fun to drive, the Nissan 3.5s last forever, and the CVT is super smooth
- The interior is in good shape, and is very comfortable
- The stereo is the BOSE version, and sounds great -- steering wheel controls your spotify or itunes on iphone with the appropriate cable
- Rear brakes, front shocks, wheel bearings, radiator, new battery and a bunch of other work has been done in the last few years and it still drives great
- It passed inspection a few weeks ago (attaching a photo of the inspection report)
