Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was developed from Kodokan judo ground fighting fundamentals that were taught by a number of Japanese individuals including Takeo Yano, Mitsuyo Maeda, Soshihiro Satake, and Isao Okano. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu eventually came to be its own defined combat sport through the innovations, practices, and adaptation of judo.
BJJ training is great for multiple reasons. First, the art will get you in great shape. Constant fighting and using the entire body through training sessions are common and will strengthen you beyond your limits. Second, the art will train you for different life scenarios. You will develop confidence, strategy skills, self-defense knowledge and so much more.
We are a dedicated group of individuals who love the art and want to continue to grow in our own development. We train every single day bright and early at 5:30. We are currently blue belts and will train you in the art if necessary.
