This is an original set of two volumes printed in 1908. Author Wm. F. Peck covers the history of the entire county and has a lot on the City of Rochester. He has history of the medical profession and the courts and lawyers. A history of the area during the Civil War is included. Separate histories of each Town.

As was the fashion with histories during this era, there are biographies of citizens. There are some of those in Volume 1 that were probably written by the author. The entirety of Volume 2 is short biographies that were probably paid entries.

Each volume is approx. 8.25 x 11 inches. They have gilt edges and leather corners and leather on the spine. The 2 volumes together amount to 1344 pages. Overall condition is "Good."
