If you're a taller guy who loves the ride of a quality steel bike but hates downtube shifters, you're in luck.
This is a 24" (60cm) Trek Elance 400, built in Wisconsin. One of the finest mass-produced lugged steel frames ever made. I have upgraded it with a modern drivetrain and cockpit. The only original parts are the frameset, seat/seatpost, and front derailleur.
- Double-butted, lugged Reynolds 531 steel frame and fork
- Shimano RH-500 wheelset with 25mm kevlar-bead tires
- Tall Nitto stem
- Shimano 8-speed brifters, cables, stops
- New Tektro brakes
- Sram 2x crankset (can supply with your choice of pedals)
- Wide-range 11-32 cassette with Shimano Deore rear derailleur
- Comes with rear light and tailpack including tools and spares
This bike is an ideal urban blaster or can be used for long road rides or touring. I'm only selling it because I have too many bikes and can no longer ride them all. See the "more ads by this seller" link for others I'm selling.
