Navajo Spear Dancer. Painted feet, legs, chests, and arms and face in turquois, black, desert red, ochre. Dancer wears a gray leather breechcloth with seashell studded turquois belt. Knee tassels with seashell decorations. Feet have ankle circles of white fur. Head is covered with gray fur and feathers, Back is covered with a circle of feathers and a center white piece of fur. Figure carries 2 spears. Larger spear is covered with leather. Fur covers one end. Smaller spear is painted with a silver point. Figure stands on a circular piece of cut wood. Figure is identified on the bottom of the wood with its name and the artist. The figure has one foot flat on the stand and the other is slightly raised-in dance position.

Spear Dancer is abt 9 3/4" tall from base of wood stand to top of head feathers. 5 1/2" at widest point (edge of one spear to edge of other spear.)

Condition. Like new.
