I have been assigned a project for school the entails me writing up a buisness model that would be suitable in Rochester. Writing the business plan is not a problem but I cant seem to come up with a business idea that Rochester would benefit from. If you have any serious fresh ideas or something that expands on what a current company does well please let me know. It could even be something a little far fetched but feasible. I figured I would be better off getting it right from the people that live here rather than my own opinion. Thank you for your help, and please no scam or spam replies.

Really Bad For Good People (Greece)

Well many of you know Mccalls MiniMart between Dewey and Bonesteel. For awhile I have been in the store allmost every nite for the last 4 years. I like many would buy premade foods from the deli. My fav was the chicken salad. Untill the last 6 months. I walked into the store and to the back cooler to grab soda. On my way to the front I noticed the new prep cook licking the chicken salad off of her fingers as she was making it with no gloves. I mentioned it to a worker and also the store owner Scott. One of the girls working at the counter told me the next day that she told Scott I said I would no longer buy any premade food. His responce was well he probably doesnt buy that much anyway. So as time went on I would she her preping food with no gloves and still eating off the spoons she was mixing with. I would always ask the register girls in a loud so the prep cook could hear me " man you people just dont like gloves". Then I was informed that Scott would change the dates on the premade sandwiches in the cooler untill they sold. Well today really did it for me. I went in to buy a frozen pizza and rolls and the prep cook was eating off the spoon she was using to put away pasta and suace. Then she walked over to mix a bowl of pasta salad and was taste tasting it and still using the spoon. Then she coughed into the bowl not covering her mouth at all. I lost control and told her directly that I was calling the health department she replied but why? I said you are eating off the spoon with no gloves coughing into the fing bowl and I walked out. I will be calling the heath department in the morning. I felt I needed to tell this story becuase even with the health department none of you would never know what you have been eating. From a store owner who cares only for the dollar he makes. This is the truth and only the facts I will not leave this alone I will make them change and care about what they are selling to us to feed our familys. Take care.

Agian be careful Manchester/Shortsville

To the misinformed people of Manchester/Shortsville Area. Beware of who you help and trust. Examine the entire story before feeling sorry for an adult who puts their children in harms way. A person who gets a $100,000 settlement, makes $120,000 a year(but claims $111,000 in deductions), pays rent late and with bounced checks, isnt even married to his so called wife, IS NOT HOMELESS! they were under legal counsel when they signed a renters agreement. An agreement that was meant to save the sellers, of their house, a loss in equity if the "buyers" could not get a mortgage. A mortgage that was well with in reason of attaining if the buyers hadn't blown $100,000 on a new truck, $1400.00 grill, etc. Unfortunately, as well, when you owe a years rent to a previous landlord, that wont help either.Yea , thanks for being upfront as we tried to do EVERYTHING we could to make you homeowners.

Our home was trashed. It reeked of pet urine. The drywall was falling off the studs. The main beam to the garage was knocked back 10 inches with a nice big tire mark. The septic was overflowing. The 2nd bathroom was useless and caked with sewage. But hey, you did replace 2 light switches and new springs for the garage door.Hope it didn't come out of your BIG BOAT fund. We even offered you a way out of the contract by letting us list the house in January 2009, thus, US breaking the original contract AND YOU QUICKLY AND STRONGLY DENIED! OH and hey, there where other buyers REALLY interested in buying our home. But after the town Assessor visited, we couldn't even sell it for what we owed on the place. We had to pay a mortgage and rent from March to June. A whole two months busting our backs to get the place livable. Thousands of dollars on toilets, sinks, drywall, paint, septic and plumbers, flooring, support beams, oven parts. Did you even ever changed the oil on our tractor? Sure didn't look like it. I'm surprised it even started. We never wanted to be landlords, yet, every time your "girlfriend" called,(because you were gone for WEEKS at a time) we happily did our best to accommodate the issue. So many times we could've acted on the contract guidelines or had the authorities escort you out when you went over a court order to be out.

So before you decide to drive by again, flipping my small children the bird, honking your new trucks horn obnoxiously , stop playing the victim and get a life.If your putting your kids on the street when their mother(whom does not share your last name)can get help from the state or child protective services, it just shows what an ignorant NON provider you really are to your FAMILY. I've been in bad situations myself and worked multiple jobs and did eveything i could to keep a roof over my families head. No wonder your previous landlord took the furnace from your trailer...and you still made your family stay there? Unbelievable.

So take it in Manchester/Shortsville. Get both sides of the story before your kind charity is taken advantage of.

And a side note Mr "buyer", Ryan homes doesn't use cell phones AND there is no Ryan Homes offices located from the phone trace your "rep" called from. I have a good friend who works for Ryan homes. And I have friends in many other places, too. I suggest you stop lying to people and move on.

Try being part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

TO THE "Non-Buyers":
AND NOW...seven months later you're still trying to take from us?We are now just getting settled BACK into our home. We still have work to do but we are spent. Are you the ones making the "HANG UP" phones calls and sending people to our house "looking for you"? We let Nothnagle return the funds to you, that was our choice. The rest is not yours. We were advised to come after you for damages to our property because the money in the contract, which you were so insisting to sign to get early occupancy, has NOTHING to do with Nothnagle OR damages to our house! We even extented the contract, prior to signing, to end in spring so you wouldn't have to find a place to live around Christmas if things didnt work out. And now you send a threatening letter demanding all the money right before the Holidays!? You still owe last months rent!($900 + court fees) and all the legal fees($3000) and inspection fees$1200) WE paid for you to NOT BUY OUR HOUSE. And with your help, our house depreciated by -$34,000. Thats ALOT more than you had to pay out. ALOT more. This was to be our ticket out of New York. You blew through your settlement. We're dealing with being stuck here. How about you grow up and deal with it and leave us alone.
