I am a mid 20's male young professional with a good sense of humor. I founded and run a business consulting firm in Rochester and work part time as a marketing consultant for the UR entrepreneurship initiative (my alma mater). I love music (200+ record collection), meeting people, and enjoying life in general.
I just bought a large (1600sq/ft - 2000 if you consider finished attic) house a little over 2 blocks away from Brooks Landing (where they are putting in a whole new high end complex). It is a less than 10 minute walk to UR. Perfect for a grad student or professional working at the school.
The house is beautiful - hardwood floors throughout, tons of character, large back yard, central air, etc. It also has a washer/dryer in the basement.
The house is in fantastic condition (bought it from an old couple who lived there for 40+ years). It has a drive way so you don't have to park in the street. I am only looking for one room mate so there would be tons of space for both of us - but if you have a friend I may be convinced to also rent the finished attic.
I want an easy going room mate (male or female). Must be respectful and responsible as I will be to you. The rooms are large and you would have plenty of personal space. I have some furniture, but feel free to bring whatever you have as well. Rent would be 400/month plus Utilities.
Must like dogs. I don't have one yet, but they are awesome, and I may buy one in the near future. If you have a dog, or another pet, that's probably fine as well - just as long as it is house broken and not evil... you know what I mean.
I close on the house and move in Sept 14th. Unfortunately, this is not negotiable (I will need temporary housing from the end of August). At this point I can only give you the address, so you can drive by, and show you some pictures. I know this isn't ideal, but you will not be disappointed with the value you get.
If you are interested, let me know and we can set a time to meet. Thanks for looking!
I attached some pics so you can get an idea of what it looks like. PLEASE NOTE: Currently it looks like a house your grandma would live in. That's because an 80 year old couple lives there. The pictures don't do the place justice - they are from the real estate page. I plan on painting almost every room with vibrant colors to make the house much more lively and pimping.
