Our financial resources are focused upon meeting the daily needs of students, as well as seeking support for an endowment fund for long-range financial aid.  The funds raised help in purchasing necessities required for students as they pursue their majors:  dance, vocal music, instrumental music, visual arts, creative writing, drama, and theater technology.  We also support unique classroom instructional assistance, special training, field trips, and one-time events.  <br>

<b> SUMMARY OF POSITION: </b>  Director of Advancement works in collaboration with Friends’ Board of Directors to develop, coordinate, and implement an annual fundraising plan that supports the revenue goals of the Friends Corporation.  The Director of Advancement reports to the President of the Board and the Executive Committee.<br>
<br>
<b> PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </b>  Annual responsibilities include setting goals and meeting objectives by working with the Board and Executive Committee for each of the following areas:<br>

<b> FUNDRAISING:  </b> <br>
Implement yearly fundraising plan<br>
Develop annual budget – works with Treasurer and Finance Assistant<br>
Implement annual campaign<br>
Grant writing – reapplying for existing grants and researching new grant opportunities<br>
Ad sales for School of the Arts annual performance series program guide<br>
Secure corporate sponsors for annual gala fundraising event.<br>
Develop a plan to create a Friends of SOTA endowment fund.<br>
Prepare annual report to Friends Board of Directors<br>
Develop 18-24 month development plans and collateral materials (brochures, solicitations, etc.)<br>

<b> DONOR DEVELOPMENT:  </b> <br>
Serve as ambassador for School of the Arts<br>
Develop annual public relations plan and materials for Friends of SOTA<br>
Conduct prospective board member tours as directed by Nominating Committee<br>

Under direction of the Associate Director (AD), acts as the primary program manager for refugee resettlement programs operated under Refugee, Immigration and Language Services. The Program Manager will assist the AD with overall resettlement program maintenance, coordination and strategic development of resettlement programs and in the supervision and management of direct service staff. The Program Manager will play an active role in outreach activities to the community, liaison with related service providers and in department and agency initiatives as necessary. <br>

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES<br>

1.0	Manages daily operation of the refugee resettlement program .<br>
1.1	Oversees the implementation of resettlement program policy, procedures and special projects<br>
1.2	Manages refugee case assurances and maintains case pipeline in accordance with program standards.<br>
1.3	Provides regular case file review of resettlement casefiles per agency/program policy.<br>
1.4	Maintains regulatory compliance and ensures program readiness for internal and external audits and monitoring visits.<br>
1.5	Monitors achievement of program/project objectives.<br>
1.6	Communicates with Associate Director regarding significant program, staff, and client issues through regularly scheduled and informal meetings.<br>
1.7	Serves as program representative at internal meetings and with external service providers, ethnic communities, or local / national funding partners.<br>
1.8	Facilitates communication between internal and external programs, partners, related services providers, affiliates, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate, adequate and compliant delivery of quality services and achievement of program goals.<br>
1.9	Facilitates weekly program staff meetings. <br>

2.0	Supervises and develops resettlement direct service staff <br>
2.1	Recruits, provides orientation, supervises, and completes' performance evaluations for program staff.<br>
2.2	Assists and provides guidance to direct service staff to ensure human service best practices and appropriate linkages to community resources<br>
2.3	Initiates and coordinates staff development to address individual staff and program needs for growth of clinical skills and improvement in client service.<br>
2.3	Continues to develop relevant professional knowledge through attendance at conferences, reading, etc.<br>
2.4	Oversees client record keeping in compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.<br>

3.0	Assists the AD with management and coordination of resettlement programs in the following areas.<br>

Job Summary:<br>
With general supervision the peer mentor will work with the nursing facility resident to help the individual examine barriers to transition and assist the nursing facility resident to overcome them. This will be accomplished with the participant through education, teaching, instruction, information, sharing and self advocacy training.<br>
<br>
Duties:<br>
1.	Develop a professional working relationship with the nursing facility resident<br>
2.	Assist the participant to examine the barriers to their personal efforts toward transition<br>
3.	Assist the participant to come up with tactics to compensate for functional deficits and road blocks that impede progress, so that the participant can function with increased independence on their own or with the help of their direct care staff.<br>
<br>
Required Skills<br>
1.	Speaking, and listening skills are important when dealing one on one with the consumer<br>
2.	Interpersonal skills are crucial to the development of an excellent relationship between the consumer and peer counselor<br>

<description><![CDATA[The Center for Disability Rights Inc, Is currently seeking a peer mentor for it’s NHTD service coordinator program.<br>

JOB SUMMARY: <br>
<br>
With general supervision the peer mentor will work with the participant to help the individual examine barriers to independence and assist the waiver participant to overcome them.  This will be accomplished with the participant through education, teaching, instruction, information sharing and self-advocacy training.<br>
<br>
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
<br>
1.	Develop a professional working relationship with the participant.<br>
2.	Assist the participant to examine the barriers to their personal efforts toward increased independence.<br>
3.	Assist the participant to come up with tactics to compensate for functional deficits and roadblocks that impede independence, so that the participant can function with increased independence on their own or with the help of their direct care staff.<br>
<br>
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:<br>
<br>
1.	Speaking, and listening skills are important when dealing one-on-one with the consumer; <br>
2.	Interpersonal skills are crucial to the development of an excellent relationship between the consumer and Peer Mentor.  <br>
3.	Ability to evaluate and assist consumers through crisis situations while maintaining a calm approach. <br>

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:<br>
<br>
1.	Person with a significant physical or cognitive disability.<br>
2.	At least one (1) year of paid or unpaid experience providing peer mentoring.<br>

Responsibilities: <br>

Develops and implements the person's ISP by using person centered planning and coordinating the access and delivery of supports and services chosen in the ISP. <br>
Conducts monthly face-to-face service meetings with the person (unless less frequent service meetings are officially approved by the Commissioner of OMRDD). <br>
Provide advocacy by protecting and upholding a person's rights, and ensuring that the person's living environment is safe. <br>
Maintain the documentation required as part of the consumer's Service Coordination Record to substantiate a vendor's monthly billing for federal and State audits, and ensure enrollment in Medicaid and the HCBS Waiver is not interrupted. <br>
Assists with obtaining and maintaining benefits, including SSI, SSD, etc.—ensures Medicaid coverage is not interrupted. <br>
Maintains a caseload as assigned by immediate supervisor. <br>
Assists with coverage as necessary. <br>
Submits all required reports and documentation to the DDSO and other funding and/or oversight agencies. <br>
Assures consumer satisfaction and that all families receiving services are provided opportunites to give feedback on the quality of services they are receiving. <br>
Maintain necessary monthly billing of services and submit billing in a timely manner. <br>
Performs all other necessary duties to assure compliance with OMRDD policies and procedures and all regulatory requirements. <br>
Must attend an OMRDD-approved Core service coordination training program within three months of assuming MSC responsibilities, unless the person can produce a certificate verifying past attendance at a Core training. <br>
In addition to the CORE training, MSC service coordinators must attend fifteen (15) hours of professional development annually. <br>

•	This clinical position assists participants to work toward accomplishing their goals from individualized plans developed collaboratively with skills trainers. <br>

Job Summary:. To provide oversight to the Day and Residential Habilitation program under the OMRDD waiver and the ILST program under the TBI and NHTD waiver.  Included are job duties in the areas of scheduling, program development, training, staff supervision, and overall oversight of day-to-day coordination of the habitation services and ILST services under the regulatory requirements of the OMRDD Waiver, TBI waiver, and NHTD Waiver.   The Manager of Waiver Support Services is responsible for meeting budget expectations for each program.<br>
<br>
General Expectations:<br>
1. Responsible for oversight of scheduling within each program <br>
•	Ensuring that all hours that are being provided are approved and units are being utilized appropriately.<br>
2. Hiring of new staff. <br>
•	Screening, interviewing, hiring, training and supervising staff <br>
•	Communicating to HR department <br>
•	Attending job fairs as needed in order to recruit new staff.<br>
3. Provide initial and on-going training to habilitation staff <br>
•	Review OMRDD/TBI/NHTD related materials with staff upon hire and provide on-going staff training <br>
•	Review agency policies and procedures with staff<br>
4. Provide supervision to staff. <br>
•	Conduct performance Evaluations with staff <br>
•	Monitor staff on the job to assess performance <br>
•	Conduct spot checks <br>
•	Recommend areas of staff improvement and potential training opportunities <br>
•	To provide staff training as necessary. <br>
•	Provide feedback to staff on job performance on a regular basis<br>
5. Responsible for marketing the agency and programs to Rochester and surrounding communities. <br>
6. The Manager is responsible for meeting the budget expectations in each program that they supervise.  <br>
7. Attend all ISP/RSP review meetings and write goal plans and ensure that all documentation for the programs is completed within the regulations of the OMRDD/TBI/NHTD Waiver. <br>
8. On-call after hours rotation with other Managers in the Waiver department. <br>
9. Manage all the Day and Res Hab units that are allocated to CDR by the DDSO.  Complete all enrollments and disenrollments in the Habilitation program. <br>
10. Complete functional assessments within the ILST program and conduct bi-weekly supervision meetings with all ILST staff. <br>
11. Review time sheets and case notes every other week <br>
•	Train staff on case note writing <br>
•	Ensure staff is working on the goals and are knowledgeable about what each goal entails. <br>
•	Ensure schedules are developed based on the number of approved hours per week and the number of hours per unit. <br>
•	Follow the progressive discipline system for all employees that have any performance concerns to ensure that quality services are provided to all consumers of CDR. <br>
•	Ensure that all timesheets and case notes are correct and accurate for all subordinate employees.<br>
Qualifications<br>
1.	Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree preferred.   3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and at least 2 years experience in a supervisory role. <br>
2.	Have the skills and abilities to meet individuals needs addressed through the service. <br>
3.	Must have reliable transportation with current vehicle inspection and registration, and valid drivers license. <br>
4.	Must be available after hours for on-call and for needed spot checks within the programs.<br>
Knowledge:<br>

Must have knowledge about OMRDD Day and Residential Habilitation rules and regulations. <br>

Communication/written work:<br>

Ability to handle a high degree of stress and be flexible to change roles in order to meet any unpredictable needs of the program or the program participants is imperative. Successful candidate should have experience in functional assessment of those with disabilities. Reliable transportation is mandatory, as the position requires daily local business travel. <br>

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
1.    Maintain files that are current and incompliance with the CDR and State-regulating agency.<br>
2.    Insure that all application Incident Reporting requirements are followed.<br>
3.    Meets all documentation timelines and maintains quality of services.<br>
4.    Participate in trainings at the discretion of the Supervisor and strives for professional development and to increase their knowledge base related to participant population.<br>
5.    Review program updates as administered, and lean and implement all changes, regulatory and otherwise. Implement changes as needed.<br>
6.    Develop and revise the participant’s service plan in conjunction with the service provider they choose to receive services from.<br>
7.    Link the participants with an appropriate service provider who can assist them in implementing the appropriate portion of their service plan.<br>
8.    Assist the participant in securing a community residency that meets their individual welfare and safety needs.<br>
9.    Review the outcomes of the participant’s service plan and advocate for the needs and changes in the services as necessary in combination with the participants needs and desired outcomes.<br>
10.    Attend appointments and meetings as necessary. <br>
11.    Hold the after hours pager, for a week on a rotating basis, and assist, advocate and counsel participants as needed.<br>
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:<br>
Possess a basic knowledge and understanding of public welfare, Social Security benefits and entitlements.  General knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and mental illness.  Have knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing individuals who have developmental and cognitive disabilities, and choose to live independently with in the Rochester Community.  Understanding of Independent Living philosophy.  Basic knowledge of the ADA, and a desire to learn more about the public laws that uphold the civil rights of disabled individuals.  Some knowledge of community services available to the citizens of Rochester, NY.<br>

CONDUCT FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES<br>
•	Attend Foundation and community functions to establish relationships with constituents and potential supporters.<br>
•	Establish a calendar prior to each academic year that includes fundraising activities, mailings, alumni and other special events and publications.<br>
•	Create marketing materials that detail the endowment needs of the foundation.<br>
•	Establish a “Society” that recognizes those donors that have given through a planned giving vehicle.<br>
•	Institute ongoing grant writing program.<br>
•	Manage all fundraising activities among student clubs and organizations associated with the Foundation.<br>
•	Maintain website content and email account.<br>

•	Demonstrated experience in major gift solicitation, planned giving, capital campaigns and corporate foundation relations<br>

- Assist CSS individual in learning and developing skills that will prepare her for living in her own apartment.  This includes help carrying out housekeeping tasks, cooking and performing administrative duties such as filing.  <br>
- Drive CSS individual in personal wheelchair-adapted minivan to and from locations such as the grocery store, bank, exercise club, etc.  Provide her with assistance at these locations.<br>
- Assist CSS individual in researching potential housing in the Rochester area. <br>
- Assist CSS individual in exploring and pursuing hobbies such as swimming and painting.  Also assist CSS individual in researching community activities and accessing those events that are of interest to her.  <br>
- Complete written documentation as required by Self-Determination program and attend plan review meetings when necessary.<br>
- Promote the health and safety of the CSS individual by following guidelines set forth in her Individual Service Plan.  <br>
<br>
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS<br>
- One year of experience working within a human services field.<br>
- Excellent organization and communication (verbal and written) skills.<br>
- Compassionate, patient and ability to handle crisis.<br>
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated.<br>
<br>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<br>
- Knowledge or experience accessing local resources, particularly for individuals with disabilities.<br>
- Computer knowledge including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.<br>
- CPR and first aid training.<br>

REQUIREMENTS<br>
High School diploma or higher education.<br>
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  Also must be an extremely careful and cautious driver. <br>
Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the home of the CSS individual. <br>

<description><![CDATA[Safe Journey, a nonprofit providing support to female victims of domestic violence and domestic violence prevention services is seeking a part-time program director to design and direct Safe Journey’s client and prevention programming, define and measure program effectiveness, build relationships with partner agencies and other relevant service providers in the community, conduct individual and group counseling, supervise bachelor’s and master’s level social work interns, and manage client/prevention related administration.<br>

Program director will report to Executive Director and provide supervision to interns and volunteers engaged in client service delivery. <br>
<br>
Successful candidates must have LMSW or LCSW, 2-3 years’ experience defining and delivering client programming, and 3+ years experience conducting individual and group counseling. Expertise with domestic violence and addiction treatment preferred. Previous experience coordinating and supervising an intern program is also required.  Ideal candidate will be a compassionate and visionary leader, open to traditional and holistic treatment modalities, and possess strong time management and organization skills. Applicant will be subject to background and reference checks and drug test prior to hiring.<br>

Hours:  10-20 hrs/week, must have flexibility to work some evenings/weekends<br>
