A worldwide supplier of food packaging materials is looking for qualified individuals for a Quality Assurance Lab Technician position. The right candidate will be able to perform audits on semi and fully finished products to insure quality and should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and CAMPS systems. An understanding of mathematics, ability to use and calibrate instruments, and a sharp eye for detail are all a necessity for this position.
Quality Assurance Lab Technician (Manufacturing)
Some Duties and Responsibilities include:
~Performing various tests as deemed necessary to test semi-finished goods and finished goods
~Assisting with Returned Goods Procedures- sampling, inspecting, etc.
~Adjusting test equipment to assure accurate results
~Maintains lab in a neat and orderly manner
~Operate calculator and understand various mathematical functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide averages and standard deviations
~Compare test results to written specifications
~Enter defective goods onto Daily Defect Log
~Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
~Ability to work overtime as required/necessary
~Prepares COA reports and technical data as needed
Candidates should have solid employment history and a background in product quality assessments. This position operates within an industrial manufacturing setting. Qualified individuals should be able to work 12 hour shifts and have the ability to work standing for extended periods of time.
