I am a male in my thirties, just moved back to Rochester and pretty much starting all over again!
I'm looking, and hoping, for an ideal situation that may give me the opportunity to work for rent, however I can afford around 400 a month as it is now. I'm looking for a one bedroom apartment, possibly a spacious studio.
What would be perfect is to be able to work with the landlord and taking care of the property/properties to help pay for rent. I'm quite handy, and if I don't know it, believe me, I'll shock you and learn it quickly! I know how to use the internet as a resource to teach myself how to repair just about anything.
I really could use a break and get something I can afford, or this 'work for rent' situation would be ideal. It isn't like I'm unwilling to come up with any amount, it's just that I can't afford much more than 400 at the moment. But an even trade or even better 'cash on top' would be the ticket, however a partial would be a great help as well. ( I just missed a great opportunity on Craigslist that offered this very situation-which is where I got the idea)
I am a quiet, very private & respectful person and my reasoning for coming back to this city is to be close to my family. Long distance relationships with my children just didn't work out. So I'm really praying on Karma to give me back some love, cause I gave up a decent life to come back here.
Some of the area's that I would choose if I could would be the East End area, South Wedge... Really I would consider anywhere for as long as it isn't a high crime area.
Please respond ASAP, cause my living situation now is not very comfortable. Moving here I made a suggestion to my Ex-wife that I would pay rent till I moved on. We actually get a long pretty good, but if you can imagine, it's a very strange situation. But I thought I'd rather do this when I'm here in Rochester than two thousand miles away where I wouldn't be able to see what I was getting myself into.

I know it's pretty long, (it's 535am and I'v been up worrying all night)-I figure that maybe if I wrote this how I would say it, it would allow you to see how I am. I'm pretty much the 'what you see is what you get' kinda guy, so it goes with out saying. I don't want noooooo drama! I want a quiet life with the hope's of having a successful & comfortable life here in Rochester!
