Provides physician ordered occupational therapy services which include assessments, planning, development, and implementing an individualized patient therapy plan. Teaches the family, patient, and/or caregivers compensatory techniques, which allow a patient with acquired impairment/disability to perform activities of daily living. Coordinates the occupational therapy plan with interdisciplinary team plan.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a university accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Currently licensed by NYS. A minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care facility and/or and acute/intermediate rehabilitation facility. Possession of a valid NYS motor vehicle operator’s license. Pre-employment physical examination and an annual health assessment as required by NYS Health Department.
