HOURLY EMPLOYEE

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The hourly employee is responsible for accomplishing tasks assigned by the Manager in charge. Tasks can be assigned by several methods, including by the Manager directly, by tools used by the restaurant (position charts, etc.), or by another person of responsibility in the restaurant. Tasks can be assigned at any time during the employee’s shift.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Cleanliness
1. Always picks up trash on the store’s grounds and premises.
2. Accomplishes cleaning tasks as deemed by store procedures.
3. Does any additional cleaning requested by the manager or a member of the management team.
4. Always cleans
A)assigned area determined by position.
B)other areas nearest to assigned position.
C) whenever the opportunity generated by the lack of business exists.
Sales and Profits
1. Builds sales by promoting customer satisfaction.
2. Adheres to store and company policies concerning food, cash, and promotions.
Service
1. Respond promptly to customer needs.
2. Customer courtesy a priority.
3. Meet shift goals and customer satisfaction.
4. Works with coworkers and management to accomplish service times and quality standards.
Policies and Procedures
1. Follows procedures outlined in the Handbook of Crew Policies.
2. Does not break any of the Rules of Conduct
3. Does not do anything to jeopardize a safe working environment.
4. Performs procedures deemed necessary and safe by both Wendy's and the New York State Health Department
Quality
1. Maintains product quality.
2. Receives proper feedback well to achieve the standards Wendy's expects.
3. Meets customers’ quality standards.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Knowledge
1. Wendy's policies and procedures related to job responsibilities.
2. An idea on how to work as part of a team.
Education: No requirements.

WORK WEEK
A crew member’s work week will vary from week to week according to availability of the individual and requirements of the store. The work week will also adhere to the guidelines set up by the New York State Department of Labor.
