The 311 Call Center is a 24 hour, 7 day operation with varying shifts. The ideal candidate is an experienced customer service representative who has excellent communication and customer service skills. High School or GED. 3 years customer service experience (call center experience would be an advantage). Must be available to work any shift, including nights, weekends and holidays. Possess strong customer service skills (call center experience would be an advantage). Excellent communication skills at all levels including excellent listening skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with large volumes of customers. Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflict. Ability to handle stress effectively. Read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Internet Explorer and Outlook. Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet job demands.

Job Duties include the following: <br>
Build strong customer relationships, loyalty and retention through exceptional customer service and the presentation, awareness and understanding of active product promotions. <br>
<br>
Assist customers in the selection of products from the Grainger Catalog. <br>
Utilize computer systems to assist with pricing, availability and alternate product selection. <br>
Place orders and resolve pricing situations encountered during customer transactions using current sales policies. <br>
Replenish counter displays to ensure customers see the breadth of product offering. <br>
Refer customers to other internal/external resources when the need arises. <br>
Work effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve problems. <br>
Perform necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized working environment. <br>
Ensure that all purchase documents comply with established processes, policies and procedures and are documented sufficiently for future reference. <br>
May recommend and help write improvements in procurement or materials policy and procedures. <br>
Maintain inventory accuracy through effective use of computerized scanning equipment and other inventory maintenance reports. <br>
Requirements Include: <br>
<br>
Ability to multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day <br>
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision <br>
Experience with MS Office (computerized scanning equipment experience a plus) <br>
HS Diploma or equivalent <br>
2 Years of customer service experience preferred <br>
1 Year of sales experience preferred <br>
Experience identifying problems and offering alternative solutions and/or courses of action based on available resources <br>
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; up to 70 lbs occasionally <br>
Effective written and verbal communication skills <br>
Ability to work continuously at a sales counter or use a phone headset for extended periods of time <br>

<description><![CDATA[A Dealer Collection Representative (DCR) is a front line employee who provides financial services to customers (dealers/auctions) within a specific geographic area. Through frequent, direct contact with dealers, complete a variety of administrative and customer service tasks aimed at increasing revenues and minimizing losses through aggressive loss prevention activities. Must develop competence in securing and monitoring loans and collecting receivables.<br>
Job Functions<br>
Essential Elements:<br>
1.    Call dealers (i.e. courtesy calls, delinquent accounts).<br>
2.    Review of all lot audits.<br>
3.    Communicate potential loss situations to Branch Manager as soon as identified. Assist in efforts to take possession of vehicles or other property used to secure loans and act as AFC’s agent/representative in legal matters, as required.<br>
4.    Use automated or manual processes to monitor dealer transactions. Collect payments from Delinquent Dealers, account for property used to secure loans, and to document business activities (particularly those related to “over credit line”, late payments, returned checks, note repayments, and “out of trust” situations).<br>
5.    Review of Delinquent Dealer Report<br>
6.    Collection of Returned Checks<br>
Core Elements:<br>
1.    Develop a thorough understanding of AFC policies, processes and procedures relative to loan processing (floorplanning), securing the loans, and collections.<br>
2.    Understand the applicable laws and codes for their assigned geographic area and operates in compliance with them.<br>
3.    Use spreadsheet and other automated or manual processes to prepare required documentation and reports.<br>
4.    Other duties, as assigned.<br>
Physical and Visual Requirements <br>
Position requires walking, sitting, and standing. Driving an automobile to customer premises or supported auctions may be required for the purpose of verifying make/model/VIN of automobiles or conducting other AFC business development activities. Preparation or review of documents and reports using pen/pencil, calculator, or keyboard is a major component of the position.<br>
Environmental - Atmospheric Conditions<br>
Varying climates, weather conditions, and walking surfaces, inside and outside. Occasional exposure to fumes, odors, gases, compounds or dusts endemic to auto industry.<br>
Job Qualification Requirements<br>
Education: Some post high school course work in related field is preferred.<br>
Experience: Prior work experience in financial services industry is preferred.<br>

Duties would include but are not limited to ... running a cash register, stocking coolers - shelves ...etc., cleaning, making coffee and, in general, helping customers. We are located in a very safe neighborhood with the Brighton Firehouse next door, with always someone there. Our store offers snacks, beverages, cigarettes and Lottery. There is someone in the repair shop from 7am 'til 5pm Monday through Friday and 8am 'til 12pm Saturdays, other times you would be working alone in the store.
